Truth From War: Chapter Two

When she woke, the sun was rising and a smokey haze hung over the forest. Gazing around her she noticed she was propped up against a tree and there was a song being sung a few feet from her. She looked around and wondered who was singing. The voice did sound much older than a child. She took in the scents and picked up that of a human female. As she continued to survey the area she noticed a large two-headed dragon demon and heard another voice screaming.

"Lord Sesshomaru will not be pleased, Rin!" cried the squawking voice.

" Master Jakken, shes hurt. We can't just leave her here to die." whispered a sweet kind voice.

" You know how he gets when we are late! He will come looking for you and blame me!" he pleaded loudly.

"Quiet, your voice will wake her." the child scolded.

"Do you think I honestly care?! We need to go. We can't wait. We are expected to meet Lord Sesshomaru later this evening and you want to wait for this filthy wolf." Jakken complained.

Nothing was said for some time, then Rin spoke again. "Shes hurt Master Jakken. I want to help here. She's not like that pack that killed my family. Her fur is white. So I'm not just going to leave her here."

"You're too kind-hearted, I'm not sure why Lord Sesshomaru keeps you around." he huffed.

"You don't mind somedays, Master Jakken." She said sweetly.

"Who are you?" Kita looked over and spoke weakly.

"Oh! You're awake!" Rin got up and brought over some plants she had gathered. "You were hurt pretty badly when Master Jakken and I came upon you. I'm Rin."

" We can go now!" cried the voice with joy. Kita could now see that he was an imp. "She's awake and alive. Let's go, let's go, let's go!"

"Lord Sesshomaru will find us if we don't come on time. He always does." Rin said as a matter of fact.

The imp began to jump up and down and began to throw a tantrum. "Lord Sesshomaru will take it out on me if we do not show up!" he crossed his arms as if pouting.

Kita slowly began to try and get up, but she winced. "You mustn't move yet....You would wounded pretty badly..." Rin helped her back down and began working on the bandages she had applied on her side and shoulders. " You were going to bleed out had we not found you. What happened?" she inquired.

"My...my pack was attacked by someone...they were after something they thought my pack had.." Kita responded. Her eyes falling to the ground and her hear sinking. "Their all dead...I was the only one who made it out alive."

"Rin. Jakken." a voice came from behind them and Jakken jumped. The voice was smooth and low. It sounded cold and emotionless.

"Oh Mi' Lord! We were just heading that way, but Rin had to stop and help this wolf!" he said as he shot a pointed glare at the girl.

"I see. Rin we need to go. I'm sure the female is thankful for your help. But we have somewhere to be." The white haired male said to the girl in the same tone he had before.

"But Lord Sesshomaru...She wont make it if we leave her here like this..." The girl sounded sad as she replaced new dressings on Kita's wounds. "Can we please take her back with us? Let her rest and then she can leave?"

"What care do I have for a female wolf demon like her? Why is it my concern if she lives or dies?" his voice remained steady and a frown formed on the girls face.

"Please Lord Sesshomaru." Rin pleaded.

"Lord Sesshomaru said no Rin. " boasted the imp proudly.

Almost instantly as Jakken spoke, Sesshomaru responded, " It Ahh Unn will carry her she can come."

"Thank you!" Rin smiled and moved over to the dragon and spoke sweetly to it. Kita watched it rise from its resting place and walk toward her. She wasnt sure who this Lord was or who he was. All she knew was she couldn't even walk or she would have run. He smelled strong, easily someone who could tear her to pieces if she crossed him. Kita didn't try to fight or argue at this point, she was being helped by a small human girl who was being protected by this strong demon lord. With a little help she was ontop off the dragon and they were on their way. Where they were going she had no idea.

Truth from War: Chapter One

It had been a long time since the white wolf tribe of the northern mountain had faced the trials of an enemy infiltrating their pack. They had lived in peace for about 50 years when a swarm of demons came in and destroyed all that they loved and cherished. Take every single member except one. Just old enough to take her place in the ranks to protect her kind from enemy attackers and one with skill unlike any other. She advanced quickly and climbed her ranks without anyone questioning who she was. Being a pack's youngest daughter could have made her the target for favoritism among the leaders, but she refused to be babied and treated as an elder’s daughter. She wanted to be treated the same as anyone else. Tonight was the night she was able to prove herself in the lines of battle. The only one to have survived the attack and was now running for her life after she watched her father die in her arms and her mother be slashed to pieces by a demon covered in a baboon pelt of white. Wh...

Truth From War: Chapter 3

She had fallen asleep upon the two head dragons back once they had started their travels. She still had no idea where they were going or if they even had a destination ahead of them. Rin continued to care for her as they went, making sure her bandages were clean and all else was taken care of. She was now beginning to feel the reality of what has just happened to her and her loneliness was now caving in on her. She had no one else in this world but herself. Her pack was killed and her village was destroyed. If she could locate Koga's tribe they may be able to take her in, but she didn't even know where Koga was. Last she had heard he was traveling the countryside to avenge others who had been killed in a large battle... "Kita? Are you okay?" Rin asked sweetly. The pain on her face must have been extremely apparent. She wasn't good at hiding her emotions anyways just because she was prone to outburst, but outside she though she felt pretty numb.   "I'm as...

Truth From War: Chapter 4

Kita entered through the doors and saw him laid out in front of an open door. His kimono was open revealing well-shaped muscles as the newly risen moon shown through and made his features more defined. "You summoned me?" she approached only as close as she dared too and kneeled down.  Lord Sesshomaru was quiet for a long while and the silence was starting to drive Kita insane.  "I remember you," he said tonelessly.  "Excuse me?" Kita questioned not knowing what he was talking about.  "You're the Elder's youngest daughter." He spoke just loud enough to hear. "Yes..." she responded, wondering how he knew. "My father had an agreement with your pack before he died and it continued with me before they were destroyed. I was the one your pack had been paying tribute to all these years since his death, so your pack could live in my territory in peace. We met twice when we were young." he continued as he looked out the open doo...
